The Bexley Primary School Football Tournament for boys took place on 11 May. The Old Bexley team of 11 boys did not concede a goal in the 5 games they played (they won 4 and drew 1) and a special mention goes to Louis who was exceptional in goal. After playing their 5 games, the team qualified for the final against Hurst which went to a nail biting penalty shoot out. Well done to all the boys who took a penalty and to Conor for keeping his nerve on the final penalty. Conor's goal meant Old Bexley were the Tournament winners - a fantastic result! Congratulations go to Louis, Fred, Freddie, Alfie, Derayo, Buddy, Conor, Harry, Tom, Harry and James.
Congratulations go to Albert, Izzy, Sam and Maddie who represented the school in a Mini Tennis Orange competition for Years 5/6 on 10 May. The four pupils all played to the best of their ability and as a result Old Bexley won the competition! The team will now go on to represent Bexley in the London School Games later in the summer term.
The girls football team played a game against Dulverton Primary on 13 May. It was a close match but Old Bexley held their nerve with the final result being a 4-3 win to us. Well done to all the girls who played and congratulations go to Ellie who scored her first competitive goal. The team were Renae, Ellie, Molly, Freya, Maggie, Molly and Maddie.
The Mini Tennis Red competition for Years 3/4 was played at Bexley Grammar on 15 May. The standard was once again incredibly high and the Old Bexley team rose to the occasion, winning their qualifying group and thereby going on to the final group where they met Hurst and Upton. The final group of 3 teams was ultra competitive and all matches ended in draws. The winner was decided on points scored from all the matches and Old Bexley were declared the runners-up - a great effort from the team! Well done to George, Josie, Katie and Josh.
